Accounts Payable Controller Ref 184

Salary:c.£21,500

This role will be responsible for the recording and administration of examiner payments processed to UK bank accounts and for the collation and documentation of the department’s cash flow requirements.

The role is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of the purchase ledger function including staff expenses, the payroll function and the bank reconciliation function within the global transaction processing department, including line management responsibility for three finance officers.

You will possess a good educational background, to degree level or equivalent, although substantial relevant work experience will be considered as an alternative. You will be numerate and literate and you should have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, along with an accounting based package e.g. Oracle. Proven experience of basic accounting and supervisory experience are essential and ideally you should be working towards an accountancy qualification.

 
Good communication skills, both written and oral, are also essential as you will deal with colleagues at all levels within the organization as well as with examiners, suppliers and other external bodies. You should be used to prioritizing your own workload, meeting deadlines and adhering to prescribed working practices.
