Reporting to the Solution Architecture Manager, the R&D Programmer participates effectively in the Applications Architecture team ensuring that tangible proof of concepts are designed, built and documented to a high standard.
The post holder is responsible for delivering the initial code samples needed to implement parts of a proposed architecture, and is key to testing and evaluating various architectural and systems based proto-types. S/He is also key in proving feasibility of architectures and solutions being proposed by the Application Architecture Team.
This role has a mentoring aspect in knowledge transfer and developer awareness based on research conducted by the Applications Architecture team.
Requirements:
• Extensive systems development knowledge and implementation experience, with skills in application and database development (specifically enterprise development)
• Extremely strong in Enterprise Java or Enterprise .NET
• Provable knowledge of enterprise systems development in a distributed environment
• Knowledge of various Diagramming techniques (at least basic UML)
• Ability to work effectively within an agile team
• Ability to learn fast and adapt to various technological environments
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to chair meetings, make presentations, and to communicate complex technical issues using simple and clear language
• Must be able to look at any technology and technology stack/architecture with an un-biased and open mind

The post is based in Singapore.
