Communications Officer* Ref 505c

Fixed term Contract July - December 2010

Salary: c.£22,500 per year

Closing date: 22 April 2010

As part of the communications team working under the office of the Director General the focus of this role, which reports to the assistant communications manager, is to provide support to the global communications team and to coordinate the different activities and projects that address the communications needs of our different audiences, both internal and external, including its own staff, teachers, members of the Board and committees, graduates and the media. This role also has strong links to every area of the organization to support departments in their communications efforts and to ensure that there is awareness of different projects, initiatives and successes throughout the organization.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, and will have proven communications experience in an international environment, including media relations experience. Fluency in English is essential and a strong command of one or more of the organization’s other official languages (French, Spanish and Chinese) is desirable. The ability to write clearly for communications documents is essential, as is the ability to communicate with people of all different levels and from different cultures.
