Diploma Programme Associate Manager

The Diploma Programme (DP) Associate Manager for the North American region will help coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the Diploma Programme in the region in liaison with the Diploma Programme Regional Manager. The position involves visiting and working with schools throughout the North American region to maintain quality assurance in consultation, pre-authorization, authorization and programme evaluation.

The Diploma Programme Associate Manager is responsible for:

  • Assisting the Diploma Programme Regional Manager with school authorizations by monitoring the school's fulfillment of requirements for authorization, terms and agreements for upcoming authorizations are finalized and documented, authorization teams are appointed appropriately.
  • Organize process related to application reading, authorization and programme evaluation.
  • Assist with the management of CAS monitoring and organization of visits to the DP schools during exam sessions.
  • Organize school visits and maintaining the IB standards of quality for all site visits and consultation services.
  • Responding to requests for information and/or advice from school coordinators, administrators and staff accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in preparation for workshop leader training and the academy. Making sure all training materials are improved, maintained and precise.
  • Communicating with volunteers and ensuring satisfactory service. Volunteer expense claims are processed correctly and in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required for the position.
  • Diploma Programme teacher / coordinator experience.
  • Substantial teaching experience.
  • Contemporary knowledge and engagement with innovations in education.
  • Familiarity with school evaluation, authorization and / or accreditation processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated team.
  • Highly proficient in the English language as well as one of the other two working languages of the IB.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
