Network Engineer Ref 606s

This is a newly created position within the infrastructure team to ensure the operandi effectiveness of the ICT infrastructure in supporting the organization globally.
The post holder will ensure the availability of the infrastructure services and scalable to meet the future organization requirements. This will require the post holder to work in close consultation with external suppliers and consultants to ensure plans are formulated prior to implementing any new equipment.
The Network Engineer works with other members of ICT to ensure compatibility to current applications as well as the readiness of infrastructure backbone to support the new application. This will include providing cost and effect feedback to facilitate the planning of new developments.
The post holder must be a specialist in the networking domain who is able to work effectively with minimum supervision, and with people from a wide variety of cultures.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT discipline, with relevant professional certification.
- Proved high level problem solving skills, working with multiple systems and multiple problems under severe time pressures.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining high-availability and highly secured network architecture, monitoring systems, VoIP and unified communications.
- In-depth knowledge of data and voice network, communication devices, network protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, PPP, SIP, RTP, TFTP, etc.) and services, wireless and PABX.
- Hands on experience in configuring and deploying network equipment, bandwidth monitoring and fine-tuning equipment, and management of IP addresses.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Effective pro-active and pre-emptive support through system monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning.
The salary package will be commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experience.

The post is based in Singapore.
