Subject Area Manager - Groups 1 & 2 (Language and Literature) Ref 208
Salary: £30,284 - £35,581

This position will support the development and management of the language and literature courses within groups 1 and 2 of the Diploma Programme, namely language A1, language A2, language B and ab initio languages. A particular responsibility will be to support language B courses.
Involvement in curriculum development and assessment in schools at the upper secondary level is a requirement for this post. The ability to work within a team and to lead teams of examiners, to take individual responsibility and initiative and to be able to plan and organize is essential.
You will be a qualified graduate teacher, will have taught in an appropriate curriculum area and preferably will have experience of international education. The ability to work in English is essential and a working knowledge of other languages (especially Spanish) would be an advantage.
This is a full-time post based at the IB office in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. The post is available from February 2008.
