Online registration and payment information

Workshops should be carefully selected to ensure appropriateness for each individual’s present level of understanding of the programme. Note should be taken of the level of experience of working with the programme.

Registration criteria

Please refer to the participant criteria of the workshop.  

Language requirement for participants

Sessions will be conducted in English, Spanish or French. Participants’ command of these languages for language-specific workshops must be such as to allow for full and unaided participation.

How to register participants

IB coordinators register participants via the online registration system

Confirmation of registration

  • The IB coordinator will receive an automatic acknowledgment of registration
  • Once the minimum number of participants for a workshop has been reached the IB coordinator receives a message confirming the eligibility of the teacher, together with a pro-forma invoice.
  • Full payment must be made to IB (see payment information) within 10 working days of the acceptance of participation.
  • Proof of payment must be sent to creditcontrol@ibo.org to accelarate confirmation process.
  • Coordinators will then receive a formal confirmation of participation.
  • Places will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis and workshops may be over subscribed before registration closes.
  • Non-refundable travel reservations should not be made until the formal confirmation of participation has been received. The IB recommends the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance in cases where such reservations are unavoidable.

Changes to registrations of confirmed participants:

  • A registered and confirmed participant who is unable to attend may be replaced in the workshop concerned by another teacher from the same school - provided the replacement has the required criteria for that workshop.
  • Registration cannot be transferred from one subject workshop to another unless authorization has been requested, and written confirmation received, from the IB Africa, Europe, Middle East events unit.  In cases where such authorization has not been given, the registration will be cancelled with no reimbursement of the fee.
  • No on-site applications for changes of subject workshop will be accepted.

Practical information for registering participants

  • Participants’ names on badges will appear as spelled in the online registration form.
  • Avoid using accents and special characters, as these may not be recognized by our system.
  • Printed badges will not be reprinted at any time.
  • Ensure that the participant’s email address is correct for easy communication before the event.

Invoice and payment information

Once the coordinator has registerd participants, an acceptance of participation will be sent.

Please ensure that full payment is made to IB within 10 working days, and in order to accelerate the final confirmation kindly send the proof of payment directly to creditcontrol@ibo.org.

A proforma invoice will be sent to the coordinator at the same time as the confirmation of participation.

Payment should be made using the proforma invoice. If a final invoice is required, please send your request (including a postal address) to the IB Credit Control Office: creditcontrol@ibo.org.
