IB global lessons now available
The IB global lessons and accompanying materials on global poverty are now available on the community theme website. Visit http://communitytheme.ibo.org to download them.
Schools are invited to teach the IB global lessons at any time during the month of October 2008. (International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is on 17 October).
The outline lessons, for about 60 minutes, are available for Theory of Knowledge and for humanities within the Middle Years Programme. Both are available in English, French and Spanish, and the Middle Years Programme is also available in Chinese (http://communitytheme.ibo.org/ib-global-lessons-overview-schools).
Schools wishing to develop their own lessons are welcome to share these with others on the website.
We would like to encourage students, teachers and parents to share their responses to the lessons, and to continue their discussions on the issue of global poverty in online forums on the IB community theme website, from 1 October until 15 November 2008.
The IB community theme aims to strengthen the whole IB community (students, teachers, parents, IB staff and others) as we look together at global issues and how we respond to these.
