IB Academy: 16-20 June 2010 (arrive 15 June)
New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
Are you an experienced IB educator? Have you ever considered applying for volunteer training with IB Americas? The IB Academy, which this year takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana, provides four and a half days of intense training to prepare participants to become workshop leaders, site visitors and consultants.
Our online registration site is now open to accept applications. If you applied online for the October 2009 Academy, and were not selected for training, your application is in the system and you do not need to reapply. Applications remain active for 3 years.
If you are involved in (or recently retired from) teaching or administration for a Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme or Diploma Programme, please go to our online registration site between 10 March-10 April to register. Once you start your online application, you will have 10 days in which to complete it. The site will close on 11 April 12:00 AM EDT.
Applicants who live in geographical areas where there is great programme expansion and who have expertise in content areas of need will be given priority in the selection process. Additionally, because of the integration of IB Americas, priority will be given to bilingual applicants. However this training is delivered in English so participants must have strong oral and written communication skills in this language.
The IB will pay reasonable and properly receipted travel and lodging expenses in accordance with our travel and mileage policy.
Thank you for your interest.
