How do I request a transcript?

How much does each transcript cost?
For the 2006-2007 school year, each transcript costs USD$11 or CAD$13, payable by either check or money order. This amount may change in September 2007.
What if this is my first transcript request? Do I still have to pay for it?
For the most recent examination session (May or November), International Baccalaureate North America will send transcripts free of charge to one US university and/or two Canadian universities when requests are made before 15 September (for the most recent May Session) or 15 March (for the most recent November Session).
What if I tested this year and requested my transcript through my school?
Each year, IB exam results are released in the beginning of July. If you requested to have a transcript sent to a university through your high school, your transcript will be mailed out in mid-July. You may want to follow up with your university to ensure that they have received your transcript.
Can I pay for my transcript by credit card online?
As of right now, IB North America can only accept transcript requests by mail and each request must be paid for by check or money order.
How long will it take for my transcript to arrive?
Transcript requests are processed in the order in which they are received. Please allow 10-14 business days for your transcript to arrive at the university that you requested. Some universities receive transcripts electronically. If this is the case, please contact your university to notify them that your transcript has been sent and of the year you took your exams so that they may download it.

Is there a way to expedite my transcript request?
You can request overnight mail with your transcript request. This costs extra and must be included with your transcript request. You can determine the cost by going to the UPS website and using 10115 as the originating ZIP code and your university’s ZIP or postal code as the destination. If you are unable to determine the exact cost of expedited shipping, please remit a flat fee of $30 USD for overnight service. Please be aware that expedited shipping takes place from the time we process your transcript request, not from the time you send it.
Can I have my transcript sent to my home address?
We can send a transcript to your home address, but please be advised that you should not open the transcript if you intend to give it to your university as most will not accept it as an official transcript.
