The Communications Manager will develop and manage an effective communications strategy for the Asia Pacific region, consistent with global guidelines. S/he will manage the different activities and projects as well as support the development and production of various communication channels to answer the needs of the region’s varied internal and external audiences.
The job holder provides a day to day service to support the regional director in the communications efforts and to ensure that awareness of different projects, initiatives and successes in the region are communicated throughout the organization.
In addition, the job holder needs to establish and maintain close working relationships with the global communications team to help ensure a consistent, global approach is being taken in relation to communications work.
Requirements:
• A recognised bachelor degree, in a related discipline
• At least 5 years experience in communication roles in an international company or environment
• Proven media relations experience. Experience in the wider Asia Pacific region will be an added advantage.
• Experience of managing time sensitive cross-departmental projects
• Excellent written communications in English, demonstrated in an ability to write effectively for print and digital media
• Excellent communications skills to work with people from different cultures
• Good knowledge of IT, including working with web pages
• Independent, ability to work under pressure and experience working under a global matrix structure
