Conference and Events Coordinator Ref 724a

The Conference and Events Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of the administrative tasks related to the organization of regional workshops, regional conferences and meetings held in IB Americas region in order to contribute to the provision of the required service according to the standards of quality defined by the IB.

The Conference and Events Coordinator will be responsible:

• For the organization of multiple, concurrent regional and in-school workshops.
• To oversee travel logistics for workshop leaders, field reps as well as office staff.
• To adhere to established budgets, ensure the best value for money and compliance with financial guidelines for the Professional Development department.

Requirements:

• A combination of 3 years experience, education and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required for the position
• Successful educational administration experience and event and/or travel coordination.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a fast paced environment
• Excellent IT skills (MS Office and Internet)
• Ability to meet deadlines and cope with multiple activities.
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently
• Fluency in Spanish and English desirable.
