Examinations Administration Officer      Ref 306

Salary: £18,255 per year

The examinations administration department is responsible for the successful delivery of two examination sessions each year for schools in over 120 countries. This is achieved through teams of skilled staff dedicated to various aspects of administration, including the examination material administration team which comprises around 275 temporary staff that are organized into three sections, each coordinated by an examinations administration officer. Each section has responsibility for particular functions of the overall checking and handling process. The examination administration material team is based at Eastgate Park, Wentloog Road, Cardiff.

Applications are sought for the post of examinations administration officer. The post will involve coordinating and supervising a team of temporary staff who are processing and checking marked examination material, ensuring that procedures are followed correctly. This aspect of the role will involve working occasional unsociable hours, but will provide an opportunity to utilise and develop skills in training, team leadership and supervision.

You will be required to handle confidential information and communicate with examiners. You should possess organizational and project management skills of the highest order, together with excellent interpersonal skills.

Educated to IB diploma, A-level standard or equivalent, you will be a good communicator (both in writing and verbally), attentive to detail, possess good word processing and Excel skills.  You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will also be able to prioritize work effectively. Recent experience in a supervisory or team leadership position would be a distinct advantage.
