IB graduate profile - Georgiana Cohen

Graduated from Atlantic Community High School, USA, in 1997.

"I attended Boston University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in religion. I am currently employed at Boston.com, the leading regional web portal in New England and the affiliate website of The Boston Globe, as a news producer/homepage editor. I am one of those responsible for updating breaking and developing news on our 24-hour news site. While at Boston.com, I spearheaded our coverage of the 2002 elections, built and maintained the online components of several special features of The Boston Globe, and worked on our coverage of the clergy sexual abuse crisis, which is being submitted for Pulitzer consideration.
 
When not in the journalistic trenches, I work on my poetry. I have begun the long process of submitting my work in the hopes of getting published.  I also have a large CD collection (approaching 800) and I actively troll used CD shops to add to the pile. I am engaged to another BU graduate, and we plan to marry in 2004."
