Considering non IB applicants, there was more of a spread of age ranges with only 42.6% aged 18.

For those aged 19, there were similar proportions between IB and non IB applicants, 21.4% and 20.1% respectively. There was a higher proportion of under 18 applicants amongst IB applicants (9.7%) than amongst non IB applicants (2.6%).

From the 62.9% of IB applicants aged 18 stemmed 63.1% of applications. Non IB applicants aged 18 (42.6%) accounted for 51.6% of applications. This suggests that non IB applicants aged 18 made more applications than IB applicants. Mature applicants made proportionately less applications. This may be due to them being tied to a particular area, limiting the institutions they are able to make applications to.
